Aviva Responds to Hail Damage with Mobile Appraisal Centres

AvivaIn response to the hail storms that hit Alberta on July 21, 2015, Aviva Canada has mobilized its CAT team to the area. They have dispatched appraisers and set up drive-in appraisal centres in Lethbridge, Calgary (two centres), Red Deer (two centres), Lacombe, Ponoka and Hinton to assess vehicle damage. In a recent bulletin Aviva has stated that "a significant number of claims, both auto and property, have already been reported to us." Their goal is to contact all customers within 24 hours, but because of the large volume of claims, Aviva expects to have delays in response time.

If you have unreported claims for Aviva, report them as soon as possible:

  • Customers with hail damage to their vehicles or other property should contact Aviva's Claims Customer Care team at 1 866 MY AVIVA (1 866 692 8482) to report their claim and receive immediate support.
  • Aviva claims dispatchers will be contacting claimants to book inspection appointments and are directing them to one of the mobile appraisal centres.
  • For building and other property damage, adjusters an Aviva preferred vendor will visit to assess the damage. Due to the volume of claims the entire infrastructure of contractors will be under strain to complete repairs, so delays should be expected.
