What you can expect in this role?

  • Being accountable for a team of Personal Lines Account Managers
  • Exhibiting and promoting the company’s vision, goals and core values
  • Participating actively and effectively in team lead meetings and contributing positively to the growth of Armour and its employees
  • Providing initial and ongoing training to team members in the management of day-to-day processes, expectations, and business issues
  • Directing, coaching, and leading the team to ensure the efficient handling of client files and to achieve Armour’s quality standards
  • Analyzing, developing, and implementing efficient workflows by monitoring procedures and methods to help improve processes and results
  • Providing performance feedback and coaching by reviewing reports, discussing options, and developing action plans
  • Monitoring and analyzing service levels and managing client concerns when escalation is required
  • Fostering staff development through performance evaluations, providing ongoing and effective feedback, identifying training opportunities and keeping staff informed of changes to policies and procedures
  • Participating in recruitment and staff selection efforts where required
  • Managing an open book of business where required
  • Working within the hours of 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday to Friday
  • Working in-office at one of our locations in Edmonton or Lloydminster

What do you bring to this role?

  • General Level 2 Insurance License
  • RIBO license would be an asset
  • CAIB or CIP designation would be an asset
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in Personal Lines within an Insurance Brokerage
  • Leadership experience is preferred including experience in performance management
  • Demonstrated organizational, analytical, and interpersonal skills are essential
