In this leadership role, you will oversee and support four key departments: Personal Lines, Commercial Lines, Processing, and Reception. We put culture first and value your ideas and contributions. Your Roles and Responsibilities

  • Provide leadership, direction, guidance, training, and technical support for all departments under purview
  • Develop strategic plans and set departmental targets to meet company goals
  • Drive the profitable growth of the company, maximizing retention and new business
  • Exhibit and promote the company’s vision, goals, and values
  • Inspire a culture of high performance, productivity, collaboration, customer service, and professionalism
  • Foster leadership development through performance evaluations, ongoing and effective feedback, and training opportunities for leaders our teams
  • Represent the brokerage with carrier partners and within the community
  • Build relationships with key clients to ensure a high level of client satisfaction
  • Be an Armour ambassador at various industry events
  • Develop/modify and implement operational standards and processes to ensure a high level of compliance, customer service and efficiency
  • Participate in Recruitment of team members in conjunction with HR
  • Be an active in-office presence Monday-Friday 8:30am-4:30 pm
  • Travel to and work in other Alberta offices regularly, and Ontario on occasion

Qualifications

  • Industry expert in insurance with a minimum of 8 years experience
  • Alberta General Level 2 Insurance license
  • RIBO license would be an asset
  • Insurance designation – CAIB, CIP, or equivalent
  • Natural leader and relationship builder with a proven track record of developing, coaching and leading high-performance teams and leaders
  • Passion for driving growth with a proven track record for achieving results
  • Process driven, highly organized, and detail oriented
  • Superior interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Exceptional customer service skills
  • Strong ability to analyze data and scenarios and create effective strategic plans
  • Strong ability to inspire, influence, and negotiate effectively
  • Strong experience using Microsoft Office applications
  • Applied Systems (Epic) experience would be an asset
  • Familiarity with EOS would be an asset
  • Ability to travel regularly
