We're Looking for a Commercial Lines Account Assistant in Edmonton

We are currently seeking a Commercial Lines Account Assistant for our Edmonton office. The successful candidate will support the Commercial Line team and have an opportunity to grow and build a career in Commercial Insurance. Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Department Manager with various administrative tasks including, but not limited to the following:
    • Reports and scorecards
    • EPIC and PolicyWorks administration support
    • Coordinate client gifts (seasonally)
  • Assist the Commercial Department with various administrative tasks including, but not limited to the following:
    • Receiving and processing client payments
    • Updating and completing premium finance contracts on existing client renewals
    • Assisting Renewal Account Manager on SME renewal reviews
    • Updating equipment values, statement of values and stated amount co-insurance forms
    • Updating driver, vehicle, and location schedules on client files
    • Issuing certificates and pink cards to clients as required, including preparing fleet renewal pink cards
    • Updating renewal certificates for multiple cert holders
    • Preparing submissions and proposals in PolicyWorks for the producing brokers.
    • Assembling client binders
    • Assisting in claims reporting and claims follow-up
    • Contacting clients for credit consent and required information
  • Other duties as assigned to support the organization

Requirements:

  • Level 1 Insurance License is preferred, or the ability to obtain a Level 1 License within 3 months of employment
  • Strong working knowledge of Epic, PolicyWorks, Applied Rating Services and insurance company portals is an asset
  • Track record of providing excellent customer service
  • Demonstrate exceptional verbal and written communication skills
  • High attention to detail and organization skills; process driven
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office: Outlook, Excel, Word
  • Able to handle multiple demands on your attention
  • Previous commercial insurance work experience is an asset
