Meet the Team: Armour Team Leads

At Armour Insurance, our commitment to exceptional service is at the heart of everything we do. As Armour continues to grow, we're focused on maintaining the high level of personal care and expertise our clients have come to expect. To support this goal, we're excited to announce the promotion of three of our outstanding insurance brokers to Personal Insurance Team Lead positions this quarter. These individuals have demonstrated exceptional leadership, dedication, and industry knowledge, and we're confident that in their new roles, they will continue to enhance the experience for our clients and team members alike.

We’d like to take this opportunity to congratulate our new Team Leaders, Amanda, Breanne, and Funmi, on their new roles. They will assist our broker team wherever they need assistance while still maintaining a small client portfolio to manage. Without further ado, here are the newest Armour Insurance Team Leads.

Team Lead Amanda

Amanda has been one of the amazing insurance brokers with Armour Insurance for nearly a decade. Before her start with Armour, she had been in the insurance industry since 2009 as a direct writer. However, upon joining the team in January 2016, it was clear that Amanda was two things:

1. An incredibly skilled insurance professional with a knack for customer service
2. And a great fit for the Armour culture

We asked Amanda what she was looking forward to in her new role as Team Lead and this is what she had to say:

“One of the parts of my Account Manager job that I liked the most was the opportunity to work with my clients to help them understand the intricate and complex products that are out there. After 15 years in the industry, I’ve learned so much about all of the markets and the products they sell. More than anything, I’m excited to share that experience and knowledge with the team.”

Team Lead Breanne

Breanne is a little newer to the Armour Insurance team having joined the team in November of 2023 as an Account Manager. However, prior to joining the Armour team, Breanne had been in the industry since 2008 in various insurance roles. Even with the geographical barrier, Breanne was excited to work for a larger insurance brokerage with more opportunity.

Despite having always lived and worked in Drayton Valley, Breanne has decided to move closer to Edmonton to be able to work in office full time. Her work ethic and insurance knowledge are nothing short of incredibly impressive.

We asked Breanne what excited her about her new role and this is what she had to say:

“I’m really looking forward to working with such a great team. Taking on a new challenge is something that is exciting, I think it will be a great opportunity to grow into a better version of myself. After having worked alongside this team for the past year, I’m really excited to work with such great people.”

Team Lead Funmi

Funmi is the last of our newest Team Leads, having been with Armour since May of this year. Unlike Amanda and Breanne, Funmi was one of the members of our Commercial Insurance Team when she started with Armour. Funmi brings an incredible wealth of insurance knowledge to the team having worked in multiple different parts of the insurance industry since 2008. Her body of work includes Personal Account Management, Commercial Account Management, life insurance, disability insurance, health insurance, and most recently insuring entire cities and municipalities. Needless to say, Funmi will bring a ton of experience to our already talented team.

We asked Funmi what she was looking forward to as a new Team Lead and this is what she had to say:

“Personal growth is really important to me and I’m excited to grow alongside my team. Challenging myself and those around me to make us the best team we can be is something I’m looking forward to. Being able to support my team is something I’m passionate about.”

Conclusion

We are very excited to congratulate our three newest Team Leads with Armour Insurance. Each of our Leads will be maintaining a small book of business of their own and we we are looking for experienced insurance brokers to help support our growth.
