Just in time for the Alberta snow, Intact announced this week some updates to their my ATV and my Snowmobile insurance packages. These updates will be availalbe November 15, 2013 in Alberta, NWT and the Yukon.
One of the of the highlights of this announcement include a new Limited Waiver of Depreciation that will be available for up to 24 months. Intact said today that "the value is established based on the price (you) purchased the unit for".
This means that owners of brand new ATVs and Snowmobiles will be eligible for full replacement cost on claims within the first 24 months of ownership. This includes accessories coverage available on a replacement cost basis.
Some other coverage and endorsement highlights available on my ATV and my Snowmobiles:
- Coverage for units up to $30,000 in value and 1200 CCs
- Coverage available for motorized snow vehicles and all-terrain vehicles up to 25 years of age
- Coverage available for leased motorized snow vehicles and all-terrain vehicles
- SEF 5 - Permission To Rent Or Lease Endorsement
- SEF 19 - Limitation Of Amount Endorsement
- SEF 32 - Recreational Vehicle Endorsement
- SEF 40 - Fire And Theft Deductible Endorsement
- Limited Waiver Of Depreciation - Waives the depreciation on repair or replacement for loss from an insured peril for the first 24 months that a new motorized snow vehicle and/or all- terrain vehicle is put to use
- SEF 44 - Family Protection Endorsement
- Available on one pay, three pay or monthly pay
- Accessories Coverage - On a Replacement Cost basis; provides coverage for accessories such as helmets, etc., up to $15,000
These updates go into effect on November 15, 2013 in Alberta, Northwest Territories and the Yukon.
