Each year, our Day Off Raffle brings our team together and allows us to support organizations that are making a real difference.

What Is the Armour Insurance Day Off Raffle Program?
At Armour Insurance, we know just how valuable a day off can be, which is why we created the Day Off Raffle program. Each month, team members can purchase raffle tickets for $2 each for a chance to win a bonus paid day off. With no limit on how many tickets someone can buy, the program brings a sense of fun and friendly competition into the workplace while giving everyone something to look forward to.
Beyond the excitement of winning an extra day off, the Day Off Raffle also serves a greater purpose. All proceeds are collected throughout the year and matched by Armour to donate to a charitable organization. It is a simple but meaningful way for our team to come together, support one another, and give back to the communities we are proud to be part of. This year, we've opted to donate the funds to Women Building Futures.

Women Building Futures is a Canadian non-profit organization that helps women build meaningful careers in the skilled trades. Through hands-on training, mentorship, and ongoing support, they equip women with the skills and confidence needed to succeed in industries where they have traditionally been underrepresented.
Their programs focus not only on technical training but also on long-term career success, helping participants achieve financial independence and create lasting change for themselves and their families. With a strong presence in Alberta and growing reach beyond, Women Building Futures is making a meaningful impact in communities across the country.
Why Armour Insurance Chose Women Building Futures
Choosing Women Building Futures as this year’s recipient meant a lot to us. The insurance industry is largely female-driven, and at Armour Insurance, more than three quarters of our team is made up of women. Supporting an organization that helps women build meaningful, long-term careers is something we’re passionate about. It reflects the people who make up our team and the kind of opportunities we believe in.
We also saw a connection to our own experience. Many of our entry-level team members started their careers in insurance through training programs that helped them step into the insurance industry. We have seen firsthand how life-changing that can be. Women Building Futures is doing that same kind of work by helping women enter the skilled trades with confidence and support. Combined with their presence across the regions we serve, it felt like a natural way for us to give back to a cause that truly resonates with who we are.
How the Donation Supports Women Building Futures
This year, through the Day Off Raffle program, Armour Insurance was proud to donate just over $2,500 to Women Building Futures. Rather than directing the funds to a specific program, we chose to contribute to their area of greatest need. We wanted to give their team the flexibility to allocate the donation where it could make the most meaningful impact.
The work Women Building Futures is doing to support and empower women is truly inspiring. Through training, mentorship, and career development in the skilled trades, their programs are opening doors and creating lasting change. While our contribution is one small part of that, we are grateful for the opportunity to support their mission and play a role in the important work they continue to lead.
A Small Program With a Big Impact
The Day Off Raffle is a simple idea, but it continues to have a meaningful impact year after year. It brings our team together, adds a bit of fun to our workplace, and allows us to support organizations that are making a difference in our communities.
