We've all had this experience one time or another: you're late for an appointment and realize that your gas tank is running on empty, rather than taking the time to fill it up you just put enough to hold you over. For some of us this is more than just a rare occurrence, for some, this happens every time we visit the gas station.

So, are we saving more than just time when we only fill the tank part way or is it better to always fill your gas tank full each time we visit the pump?

Why Use Premium Gas?

At my local gas station this morning, regular gas was selling for $1.24/L and premium was 14¢ more expensive at $1.36/L. That's a whopping $8.40 difference if I were to fill my 60L tank. Not as much as I expected actually, but I will be putting regular gas in my car anyways. So why spend the extra $8?

Uber Ride Sharing Insurance Now Available

Uber announced their July 1 return to Edmonton today as new rules will allow for Intact's proposed new Ride Sharing Insurance coverage to become a reality under  Alberta's SPF 9 insurance code.

Push for Change to Allow use of eSlips Across Canada

CSIO (the Centre for Study of Insurance Operations) released a legal advisory report this week suggesting change in legislation across Canada to allow consumers to use electronic proof of car insurance rather than the traditional hardcopy pink slips we are required to use today.
