Armour Day off Raffle Supports Stollery Children's Hospital Foundation - Racing For the Cure

Jun 19, 2024 10:02:45 AM

At Armour Insurance, we love finding ways to give back to the community and offering innovative perks to our team members. When you combine both of those together, you get the Armour day off raffle program. The program is pretty simple: Armour team members from all levels can purchase raffle tickets for $2 each. At the end of the month at one of our famous happy hours, we take all of the tickets that were purchased throughout the month, and we draw one ticket out. The person who purchased the winning ticket wins an additional paid day off!

Many of our team members kick in $10-$20 a month for a chance at a bonus day off. Where do all of the proceeds go? Well, at the end of the year, Armour matches all of the proceeds generated by the day off raffle, and we make a donation to a local charity. In 2023, our combined donation hit $2,500.

For the second straight year, Armour Insurance has opted to support the Stollery Children’s Hospital Foundation through the Racing for a Cure event. In 2024, Racing for the Cure cracked a major milestone by hitting $4 million raised for the Stollery Children's Hospital Foundation.

Racing for the Cure was kind enough to provide us with 10 tickets to their event gala over the weekend. Several Armour staff members had the opportunity to attend the gala, listen to the amazing speeches, and get a chance to see the impressive cars and helicopters. Stollery Children's Hospital Foundation put on such an amazing event.

Racing For the Cure and Armour Insurance

We wanted to thank all the Armour Insurance Staff for purchasing day off raffle tickets, the Stollery Children's Hospital Foundation for putting on such a great event, and all of the volunteers who made for such a fun and successful event. It was a true pleasure and it wouldn't have been possible without everyone's involvement.
