Last Friday, we at Armour Insurance had a great time launching our new group insurance program with Westend Seniors Activity Centre! We celebrated the launch by holding a fun scavenger hunt and bottle drive for WSAC members.
Promptly at 10 a.m., cars started rolling in with bottles to load. The participants then received a free loot bag full of Armour merch, and instructions to find and take photos of these items:
- A pine cone
- A snowman
- Berries on a tree
- A hat with a pom pom
- A snowball
- A tree covered in snow
- An evergreen branch
- A license plate from another province
- A flag of Alberta
- A thermometer showing the temperature
- Something with the Edmonton Oilers logo
- A photo of the oldest item you own
- A hockey stick
- A red car or truck
- Draw the word "Armour" in the snow
- A "selfie" of participants while on the hunt
The prizes for the first three finishers of the hunt were:
- Two tickets to an Edmonton Oilers game!
- Two tickets to the Mayfield Dinner Theatre
- An Instant Pot
This event also brought visits from a number of MLAs, including Lori Sigurdson, Edmonton-Riverview Constituency's MLA, who spent a good amount of the morning greeting and chatting with participants.
Westend Seniors Activity Centre held a free BBQ lunch in the cafeteria for participants once they returned from finishing the scavenger hunt. Despite the cold weather not being the most cooperative, everyone still had high spirits and really enjoyed the day!
