Aviva Canada Goes Paperless

Jan 11, 2021 10:05:51 AM

Aviva Insurance has recently announced that it will be moving towards a more paperless experience for their personal insurance customers. In an industry that has traditionally high paper consumption this is welcome news for forests across Canada.

paperless-illustrationWhile some essential documents will still arrive at clients homes via regular Canada post, Aviva is striving to send the majority of their client communications electronically. While they make the changes over the next few months customers can expect to start receiving the following information through email:

  • New business documents
  • Renewals
  • Endorsements
  • Reinstatements
  • Billing Notices

Some essential documents will continue to come through Canada Post. Some of the documents that will continue to com as hard copies include the following:

  • Auto insurance pink slips
  • Registered mail
  • Cancellation notices
  • Custom or manuscript letter wordings
  • Claims notices

With so many paper documents produced in our industry, we're happy to see our partners moving towards electronic distribution of documents.
