What is CAIB?

Dec 21, 2018 10:30:48 AM

A huge congratulations goes out to our very own Jennifer Miller, of Armour Lloydminster! She recently completed the four part CAIB course and received her Canadian Accredited Insurance Broker designation. Watch as she explains some of the ins and outs of CAIB, and what it takes to be a licensed insurance broker in Alberta today.

Insurance is a complicated product. That's why there are strict licensing and continuing education requirements for insurance brokers in Alberta and across Canada. The CAIB (Canadian Accredited Insurance Broker) designation is a 4 part course that has been designed to increase broker's knowledge and help them make the best recommendations for their clients.

  • CAIB 1: General Insurance
  • CAIB 2: Commercial Insurance
  • CAIB 3: Commercial Insurance
  • CAIB 4: Brokerage Management

Each part of this 4 part course culminates in a national exam.

Thanks for watching and congrats again Jen, we're proud of you! If you're interested in a career in insurance you can find out more on the Armour Career Page, at the Insurance Brokers of Association of Canada website or the Insurance Brokers Association of Alberta website.
